Read The Bible In A Year

About the Bible Reading Plan

Statistics show that most people professing faith in Jesus have never completely read their Bible. Many people start reading the Bible but then become overwhelmed by the number of chapters (1,189) and verses (31,102) there are.

A Bible reading plan walks you through the entire Bible over the course of a year. Reading through the Bible is a rewarding experience, and this plan can help you do it!

To use the reading plan, just visit this page to see your scripture reading for the day. (You may want to bookmark this page in your web browser.)

This reading plan starts on January 1, but you're free to join in at any time! When each plan ends, it cycles back to the beginning so that you can start over or catch up on what you missed. So, choose to start today and get ready for the incredible journey of reading through the entire Bible, one day at a time!

Tips on Reading the Bible Daily

1. Start reading the Bible today -- there is no better time, and there's no reason to wait.
2. Set aside a specific time each day. Set your schedule and then stick to it. Mornings are great, but feel free to use any time that works consistently for you.
3. Read the Bible for the sake of learning, not simply to accomplish your next reading. Say a short prayer to God before you begin, asking the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding, then be refreshed by the words you read!
